Health Week: Vicks Germ Free Humidifier

Saturday, November 22, 2008 Posted by Felicia

Today I give you the "Mac Daddy" of humidifiers! Just go ahead and toss the rest of them! This Vicks Germ Free Humidifier is wonderful! I was so tired of putting the humidifier in Graham's room right before bed for it to only start really working about 45 minutes later and then being completely empty in the morning!

The Vicks Germ Free Humidifier takes only about a minute (if that) to start filling the room with wonderful steamy goodness! It also has 2 LARGE tanks for water. I turn it on before Graham goes to sleep and in the morning (about 10 hours later) there is still 1 tank completely full!

Another wonderful feature is that it has the germicidal power of ultraviolet light for an almost 100% germ-free mist! The Vicks Germ Free Humidifier also comes with mineral pads that help prevent the build up on the heating element (another problem with my old humidifier). If you are an asthma or allergy sufferer you will love that absolutely no white dust is produced!

It retails at about $89.99 at most stores. Although it carries a high price tag, it is more affordable than other humidifiers with similar technology. Also, when you consider how often you have to throw away the cheaper humidifiers, this one pays for itself! A good humidifier is worth the investment!

Check it out in action!

Thanks for the great review. We need a new humidifier. We might have to go for this one even though it's more expensive, it seems to be worth it. Our tanks are always empty in the morning - after about 11 or 12 hours! This one would solve our problem.

That is great! I am always looking for better humidifiers. My little ones constantly have colds. I might have to check this one out. Where can you get it? Great review! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting this review! We have a cheaper one we bought about a year and a half ago and we just aren't pleased with it. Since we are looking to replace it, i am going to jot this one down and check it out in the stores

That looks very cool. My little one has just come down with a cold so we could probably use that. If I had only come by a couple of hours earlier, I could have run to the store today. Maybe tomorrow.

Thanks for the review. I'm wondering if the water in this house is going to make our current humidifiers produce the white dust. If I have to get new ones, buy stock in Vicks because we all need one for our bedrooms LOL.
