Telly, Why?
I have the Telly Tut Triangle song permanently stuck in my head! Has an
yone seen this one? I think I remember if from when I was little and now Graham has the "Elmo's World Shapes and Colors" Movie (thanks mom and dad), and this song sticks with you! I think we've watched it 3 times today! How much of an Egyptian King Tut Monster can one 20 month old take? I can tell you how much Egyptian King Tut Monster an almost 28 year old mother can take!!It got me thinking though...."Tut-Tut-Tu...." AAAAHHH... it got me thinking that repetition is how our little ones learn! The proof is in the review I did on "Meet the Letters" a couple months back. At 18 months old Graham knew the entire alphabet (upper and lowercase) because of the repetitions. He now has "Meet The Numbers" and just about knows all the numbers! I am amazed!
I remember learning at some workshop in graduate school that it takes 7-8 repetitions for the average learner (IQ of 100) to grasp a concept and about 27 repetitions for a child with a lower IQ! It is amazing how much repetition plays a part!
So, get those annoying songs and rhymes out!! They are working!! Even on a 28 year old brain!
"....Telly, Telly Tut!" HELP!!

You crack me up I loved that show and the charters :). Thats why those songs are so annoying because we never forget them. See even as adults we can still learn ... LOL!
Books I think would be better then plans, not as pokie when you roll on them sleeping.
