Befudiom Game
If you are like me and my family you love to play games and I love to find NEW ones that challenge your mind! If you are familiar with what an idiom is, a group of words whose meaning as a whole is different from the meanings of each individually (e.g. Raining cats and dogs, cat got your tongue), that's what this game is all about! The point is whoever guesses the most idioms correctly wins!Befudiom gets you involved in the game! You will be drawing, acting, shouting and spelling as you go along! This game needs 4 players and would make an excellent game when company is over! The recommended age is 8 and up. What a blast this would be at your next family reunion... or why not give it as a hostess gift?
I also love that this game was invented by a mom!
Wendy Hampton is a duel full-time credit and collections manager and single mom who just wanted to create something educational and fun that she could play with her daughter, Taylor. When her then-ten-year-old daughter came to her and proclaimed that she was ‘totally bored,’ the two sat down on the floor and wound up with an idea for a board game about idioms. Soon Wendy was staying up late at night – every night – developing content and gathering thousands of idioms, such as “kick the bucket,” for the interactive game known today as Befudiom™. She was discovered by the Everyday Edisons team and her dream became a reality!
What We Love about Befudiom:*Gets players involved in the game (a lot of action)!
*Takes several family favorite games and combines them into a new, fun twist!
*Educational!
*Simple rules (that's a big deal to me)!
*Cost: $24.99 is a great price

This game looks like fun! We always love trying new games out during game night!
Here's rule numero uno:
1 - Once the play order is set, a player from the starting team is selected as the Clue-giver. The Clue-giver changes every round. Once everyone on the team has had a chance to give the clue, the order starts over again.

The Clue-giver has 60 seconds to help his teammates guess the idiom. At the end of 60 seconds, if the performing team hasn't correctly guessed the phrase, the other teams get one chance to guess, and the team to shout out the correct phrase first wins the round. The order of play stays the same no matter who wins the round

SHOUT IT - The Clue-giver describes the meaning of the phrase or words in the phrase without using any of the key words. For "let off the hook" you might tell your team that the phrase describes someone who is no longer responsible for getting a job done. Just don't use key words like "off" or "hook" or you'll lose your turn.
Sounds like a lot of fun!

If you roll a six, all teams get the chance to guess at the same time for the points. Sounds like an interesting game!

If you roll a six, all teams get the chance to guess at the same time for the points. The Befudiom die tells the player HOW to give the clue. Click here for details & rules on the Befudiom Symbols.

We do a game night with friends every month and this would be a wonderful addition!!
CHOOSE IT - The team who rolls the dice gets to choose how they want their Clue-giver to give the clue. If you're better at describing than you are at drawing, you might choose 'Shout It'.

Rule #2 - The Clue-giver picks a card from the stack and rolls the dice. The number on the number die tells you WHICH idiom phrase on the card to perform. It also determines the point value for this round.
This looks like a really fun game and I LOVE that there aren't a whole page full of rules!
Thanks so much!
