Help Fight ALS with Chuck the Yuck!
You all know that I am a sucker for good causes! When the girls from "Chuck the Yuck" contacted me and I saw that a percentage of their proceeds went to help fight ALS I had to know more! Here are the words from Heather, Holly and Courtney (creators):
On July 15, 2007 our Dad passed away from the extremely aggressive disease, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s). It was our first experience with terminal illness and within 10 very short months we watched our Dad go from a vibrant, funny, meticulous, 64 year old man to someone who needed help to accomplish the most simple of tasks. It was horrifying. We wish he were here to see his dreams for us come true but we won’t let his early passing be in vain. We will do all we can to give ALS the visibility it deserves. We will donate a portion of Chuck the Yuck proceeds to the ALS Association to support their tireless efforts to find a cure for this devastating disease.
About Chuck the Yuck:Heather, Holly and Courtney (being mothers of 4 boys and 1 girl) understand how sickness can be and how it can just sneak up on you when ever and where ever you are! They decided there needed to be a practical way to have a stylish back-up plan with you wherever you go! Chuck the Yuck was born.
These bags would also work wonderfully to stash that dirty diaper...or....a great kitchen use I found for them is as a grease trapper! Because the bags are water resistant and have a twist closure, you are safe to put just about any mess in there! Chuck the Yuck comes in a pack of three and as an added bonus... they are cute! I was impressed by the quality of the lining of the bag! Most importantly, they are helping out a good cause!

TBGB is " a green Tupperware bowl the size of Texas that our Mom would fish out from the dark recesses of her cabinet to place beside the bed in the instance that the sick Minisce child would have to throw up and be unable to make it to the bathroom"
Thanks SO much for promoting awareness of ALS. My sweet, dear, Godmother died of this disease. It is a very cruel disease. I hope they find a cure for it very soon so no one else has to lose a loved one!!
Thanks for a great giveaway.

Growing up in the Minisce household being sick meant lying in bed with a cold, wet cloth on your forehead and the appearance of the "big green bowl" hereafter referred to as the BGB.

My kids never make the bowl/wastebasket. They ALWAYS hit the carpet....
ALS is a HORRIBLE disease. Great that they are doing this in honor of their dad. I really hope a cure is found.
