For me, I take simple steps in order to give myself some ME time! One thing I do almost every night is have a warm bath! I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but you would be surprised what one 15-20 minute bath can do for your mind and body! I often add a few drops of lavender essential oil to give a little more relaxation!
I have trouble with circulation and often stay cold. I have found that this is a sure fire way for me to fall asleep! I actually have to be careful not to fall asleep in the tub! When I have extra time I will even light some candles to make it more relaxing!

So what is it that you do? If you have blogged about this please leave your link in the comment section! Don't forget to that once you have blogged about what you do and linked to Go Graham Go AND Jolly Mom to enter: "Mom Time" in your comment for the prize you would like extra entries on! Make sure to comment at Jolly Mom as well!

When the kids go to nap I come online to catch up on family and friends news and do emails and the sort.
When they go to bed at night the dh and I might watch a movie or we just do the above separately
Come to think of it...I don't have any time really set aside for me..

When I had 2 rambunctious, inquisitive kids at home (about 26 years ago), I would escape to the bathroom and close and lock the door! LOL I also took a nice soakie bath with candles and music (used to muffle the little voices at the door wanting to know what I was doing and to ask hundreds of questions). Love ya FJ!

To take time for myself....I spent about 1/2 hour when my husband gets home from work (after supper as a family) in a nice warm bubble bath, usually with whatever book I am currently reading. Also, I reading for about 15 minutes from the Bible every night before bed

I always take time to read before I fall asleep at night. Lately it's been in a warm bath, since it's been so cold here. I also try to take at least :30 for myself while younger dd naps, to do emails or rest my eyes for a while.

Honestly a five minute shower is about all I get for "Me" but really it's never just me - I have the baby in his rocker sitting in the bathroom with me always even when hubby is home...so I don't know what ME time is but would LOVE to know what it is! LOL

I was thinking on writing a blog about the me-time, but since I don't get any..have any...I thought I'd just wait for another question maybe. Oh yea and I do know the benefits of the extra entries, but I'd rather write something meaningful and true than just words - I hope that makes sense.
Since we bought our home we now have a tub and well I have not yet used it but cleans it alot. Come to think of it. I've never taken a bath before, only showers. I should change that.
I'm glad you get to do something just for you. I remember a talk about how we moms just give and give and we do need to replenish ourselves, spiritually, physically, emotionally and electually to keep our relationship interactions with our family health. It is so very true.
P.s I love that photo too...it's so warm and inviting.

I love to just plop down on the couch when my little one is taking a nap and catch up on all my shows! That way I don't have to worry about being interrupted! It is a nice time for me to just sit down and relax!

I read. For me it's an escape. I am mentally able to put myself in a different place or time and it's like a mini vacation

I think if I'm going to make me-time it's going to be the time when I can sit and read a book or the bible and just relax with God. I used to do that with just one baby, but now I haven't done it much at all. Just whispered prayers throughout the day etc.
But indeed I should make some time for replenishment of the spirit...if even 15mins.
Hope you are having a lovely day!

My commute time is my me-time. I take the bus and so it's completely passive. I read, mostly, or chat with some neighbors. It's silly, but I really enjoy it!
