How to End Vibrations in your Washing Machine: VibeAway

Monday, February 09, 2009 Posted by Felicia

We purchased a front loading washing machine about two years ago when our old washer bit the dust. We decided to go with the HE to help cut down on energy costs and also to help reduce the noise created by LOUD washers!

Even though our washing machine is excellent, it still vibrates when it is on the Final Spin cycle (especially if the load is unbalanced).

Well, I've found something that has helped to reduce the vibrations! It is a new product by Be Green Innovations called VibeAway! Not only do these pads help lessen the vibration caused by your washer, but they are also made from 100% recycled tire rubber!

I had my husband install them and we started up a load. What I noticed is that when the washer started to really spin there was NO vibration! The washer still moved (my husband had to explain that nothing was going to cure that) but there was no vibration in the floor like before. Now, I will say that when it REALLY got going, I could feel a slight vibration still. You also have to understand that our washer had probably never been leveled correctly (which would probably make the VibeAway work better). My husband has a bad back and I'm not about to try and lift that sucker!

See it in Action:

The VibeAway will also help prevent your washer from walking as well as protect your floors (great news for those of you with hard wood). Another plus is that there is a full refund guarantee if you are not satisfied!

Glad I happened by this today. My sister needs these. They just got one of those fancy new HE washer/dryer sets. Sometimes they find one of them halfway across the laundry room. They purchased something from the manufacturer that was no help at all. I'll have to pass this on to her.

    Thanks for sharing,

Thanks for this post! I will have to look into the product. I don't have a constant issue with a vibrating washer but it seems to be happening more often than not lately!

    Thanks,
    Brandy

I definitely need this cool product! Just last night at bedtime my daughter was asking what all the noise was. It was the washing machine on spin-cycle, all the way across the house and down a floor. When I came down to switch the laundry, the washer and dryer had migrated across the laundry room!

This is fantastic, although my washer is so bad I don't know if anything can help. However, I'm willing to give it a try. Thanks for sharing, I'm definitely going to try it out!

Boy did this bring back an old memory. When I was a child us kids was what kept our washing machine from vibrating. We used to take turns sitting on top of the washer to keep it from walking away.lol

I am almost embarrassed to admit how much we paid for a new washer and dryer. Front Loading with all the bells and whistles, supposed to be self leveling. Well the first time I went into the basement and the dryer had "walked" away my husband said I had too many clothes in it. I told him that's what we paid for, high capacity. Then when it did the same thing with him it was time to call somebody. I'll have to check this out.

    Thanks,
    Kay

OK. I absolutely need this. We have ours upstairs, and it shakes the lights downstairs when it runs.

So far we dont really have problems with that, although it sounds like a great product for when that day comes! I'll have to keep it in mind!

This sounds like a great product. I'm going to have to tell my mom about it. Even though she has a brand new washer that is supposed to be self leveling with no vibration, it apparently is not.

Our washer is so loud, and it is right by the living room, so this would be perfect!!

I love to hear about useful ways to recycle waste and this is one of the neatest usages I have heard of recently! Our washer often vibrates because either I don't fill it enough or it is too full! So this is a very useful, functional product and I love to support companies that create products from recycled materials. Thank you so much for introducing this neat product to us!

Sounds like a great product. I'll have to recommend to my folks. My dad would probably want to try them, but it might make my mom mad because she's been wanting a new washer/dryer for awhile now.

When I got my front loader my friend warned me that it would stop and start and sound like a jet engine winding up for take off when it started to spin. He was right! I do love my washer, but it can walk itself half way across the laundry room! I'm going to try these. Thanks!
