LunchBots: Stainless Steel Lunch Containers

When thinking about Earth Day which is right around the corner, the number one thing that comes to my mind is how much my family wastes on lunches and all things that revolve around packing food! On any given week we normally use 8-10 plastic baggies and who knows how many paper towels. It was definitely time for us to find some better options.LunchBots offers 100% stainless steel lunch containers that prove to be healthier than plastic containers! Some plastic containers are made with harmful chemicals such as PVC that do not need to be anywhere near the food we would like to eat! I actually am just finding out about all of this myself. Luckily I eat lunch with some pretty "with it" people that have been filling me in! This is why I was so excited to
find a stainless steel alternative!LunchBots are lead free and you can even check out their lab results on their website! There are two styles to choose from, the Uno and the Duo. The Uno is the single container that is perfect for sandwiches and the Duo has a divider that is perfect for keeping your carrot sticks and wrap separate! The LuncBots are extremely roomy and are easy to carry. I can easily fit them in Graham's bookbag as well as in my purse. They are so versatile that my husband doesn't even mind carrying them.
The LunchBot retails for $14.99! That is definitely a deal when you think about how much you will be saving in the long run.

My green tip would be to have a garden, no matter how big or how small (container gardens are easy). It's fun, you connect with the earth, it's frugal, and delicious as a bonus.

I'd love to win the Duo. We recycled all our old plastic containers a while back and replaced them with stainless steel and glass. They last longer (as long as I don't drop them on our tiles in the kitchen!) and are, of course, BPA-free. I think the Duo would be great for crackers and cheese - one of my favourite things to take, but you can't combine them or the crackers get soggy. The Duo would be perfect!

I like the Duo. These are great. I love stainless steel. I also wrap my food in foil to avoid wasting baggies. Rinse the foil after and toss it in the recycling bin!!

I love that there are so many eco-friendly lunchboxes out there now, compared to when I was younger.
I'd love the duo, so the foods don't touch! LOL
My tip is to rethink the clothes in your closet and rather than buying more, embellish them with beads, fringe, or even cutting them up and sewing them into new things (if you happen to be crafty).
