Dirty Bow Wow: A Tribute to Dogs and A Great Cause

Friday, May 08, 2009 Posted by Felicia

Dirty Bow Wow is a book that features dogs of all kinds with their favorite toys! The book is hardcover and features beautiful and creative photography of these adorable furry friends! Authors Cheryl and Jeffrey Katz tell you a story about each dog and his special toy. Something that makes this book extra special is that Cheryl and Jeffrey made sure to include rescue dogs. This beautiful book would make a perfect gift for the dog lover in your life and would also be a beautiful table top book!

My favorite picture is Halle and Frisbee! It is a great action shot of a fun loving dog catching her Frisbee in mid-air! And of course, there is a special place in my heart for Malibu, a rescue dog, and his pink piggy!
The best part about this book is that it goes hand in hand with the Dirty Bow Wow Dog Toy Drive that helps bring a new toy to shelter dogs and hopefully will help find them a loving home. During the month of may you can donate your new dog toy to certain bookstore locations around the US.

Thanks to the Family Review Network for introducing me to this delightful book!

This giveaway has ended! Congratulations to Lorie and Bill!

I don't have a dog now, but when I was younger we had a dog named Abby. I rescued her from some neglectful neighbors. She was so small she slept in a strawberry box for a long time. She was always such a happy dog. When she wagged her tail she wagged her WHOLE body! It was a sad day when she passed away.

I have two lab pups (well I guess they aren't pups anymore as they turned 1 last sunday!) They are brother and sister and they are my children. My poor Konrad has a genetic growth defect and had to have surgery on his elbow at 6 months old! He now has a permenant limp. We do all that we can to make his days pain free. he is such a happy active dog :)

We have 3 dogs but the one that is the most special is the lab/border collie mix. She knows when I am sad and she has big brown saucer eyes. She is great with the rest of the family, too.

My dog is a three year old Pomeranian mix that we adopted at the shelter last summer. He was very shy and seemed to have been abused, but is much happier now.

Our special dog is Ozzy! He's the 90lb black lab/border collie who calls us his family. He & my son "grew up" together over these past 5 years. He is loyal, loveable and loves to "herd" us (we figure that's the border collie coming thru!)

I have two special fur babies in my life right now. Coffee is a 9 yr old male Chihuahua that weighs a mere 5 pounds and Latte' is a 5 yr old female Pappilon mix that weighs about 22 pounds. They are so special to me and know when I am having a bad day (high pain level day) and they won't ask me to play, but on my good days.... watch out they want to play all day long. Coffee sleeps with me under the covers and hates to be disturbed... good thing that I don't toss when I sleep.

I used to have two black labs, Muncie and Tremic but I had to give them to a foster home when I moved into a place that does not allow dogs. I'd still like to win this book. Looks like a cute one. Thanks.
