5 Must Have Outdoor Toys for Summer
Guest Post by: SamanthaSummer is here! I love being outside with my little one, and fresh air is so important for moms and kids alike! I think the simplicity of the outdoors offers so much creativity and discovery in our children's lives, that often times, just by sitting with your feet in the dirt and your bum on the wet grass, you're learning about life and the wonders of it all.
However, sometimes you want a little extra fun! Maybe you're running out of just exactly what to do or play with outside. Here are my top 5 toys that are sure to provide hours of fun and entertainment for your kids of all ages!
This is a basic and a classic for a reason. Children love the water and having a pool made for their perfect size just lights their fire! Plastic pools are usually less than $10 and the possibilities are endless. Children can sit in it, dip their toes, push plastic boats around, jump in an
d out of it, or even see how dirty they can make the once clean water! Every child needs a little pool in their backyard!

Do you remember these? I haven't seen one of these since, like, elementary school! Throw some rubber balls on top and see how high you can make them "fly!" This is great for a birthday party or family gathering, but it only takes a few people to participate in the fun. Get creative and make a fort with it, offering tons of shade for your little one's.
Jump rope.
Get your kids active jumping rope. Turn up the music and have your kids jump to the beat!
Kids love bubbles, but bubbles often result in a sticky mess. (Which is fine- have them jump in the pool afterwards!) A bubble machine offers bubbles constantly running so your kids can run after them all day long. See who can catch the biggest bubble!
Bikes.
I have many memories of bike riding with my family. Whether it's just around the neighborhood, down to the grocery store and back, or even in the driveway, riding bikes is a great way to instill physical activity in your child's lives. Get the whole family involved for a bike ride after dinner. Getting fresh air and exercise before bed will help your kids sleep better at night, and you too! Don't forget your helmet!
