I can still remember my first diaper changing experience outside of the house with Graham. It was at a restaurant and I remember feeling a little bit nervous about how it would all go down! I grabbed his diaper bag and headed for the restroom. As you probably know, most diaper bags come with their own changing pad. I pulled it out and opened it up on the cold hard surface of the plastic changing table. Honestly, I did not want to place him on this thin pad! It felt as if I might as well be lying him on the tile floor! I felt like there needed to be more substance to the changing pad in order to protect my child and for this to be a pleasant experience for us both.
