Buy a $.99 Bag and Help Children in Need

Ready or not, the new school year is quickly approaching! I know most of you moms will be out searching for the best bargains for back to school. I work in a school and will be right there with you! One of the places I like to shop is doing something a little special this year. Beginning August 3rd, T.J. Maxx has joined forces with Save the Children and will be offering special limited edition reusable shopping bags for $.99 that will feature Save the Children artwork. Save the Children is known for their work helping kids in need across the United States.

It truly is sad to see the number of children who do not even have basic supplies (pencils, paper, notebook, crayons, backpack, etc) to help them be successful in school. The hard reality is that these are the kids that end up dropping out when they are of age. I see it every day. How can we expect these kids to come to school and function when they do not even have the basic life necessities (yes, I'm talking about food, clothing and shelter). Then we expect them to come to school with EXTRA! It starts to become overwhelming.

So, this year when you are shopping for your kids, remember those who will not have the same opportunity. Most of us pick up one or two of those reusable shopping bags when we are out anyway. Why not pick up an extra cute one that also gives back?
