Ella's Kitchen...Yum Yum Good!
We had the extreme privilege of reviewing a relatively new baby food line in the US market, Ella's Kitchen. "Extreme privilege" may seem over the top but once you try this food you will know why we were so happy to review it!
When Paul Lindley, a dad from the UK, started feeding his daughter, Ella, solid food, he knew he wanted to provide her with the best ingredients possible--organic, fresh, AND yummy were some of his top priorities for Ella's Kitchen. Working closely with two renowned experts in the children's health field (a pediatrician and a nutritionist), the people behind Ella's Kitchen strive to ensure that their products are as good for children as possible.

Based on our consumer reviewer (ie Catherine), I'd say he succeeded!
Ella's Kitchen currently sells their Stage 1 and smoothie products in the US (you can find them sold online at Babies 'R' Us and Toys 'R' Us by clicking here). Catherine taste tested all their products and didn't leave one drop in any of the packaging.
Speaking of their packaging, Ella's Kitchen products come in adorable little pouches (stage 1 foods come in 3.5 ounce containers and their smoothies are 3 ounces). You can see several of their pouches at the beginning of the review. Aren't they cute?
***SPECIAL NOTE these packages do contain small objects (namely, the cap) that can be choking hazards. PLEASE use caution when using their products around your child.***
Because Catherine was 14-months old when she sampled their Stage 1 (4 months and up) food, she wasn't too fond of me trying to spoon feed her. So, using caution, I let her squeeze the package into her mouth. Was she ever the biggest fan of that! It got to the point that she would immediately start begging every time she saw an Ella's Kitchen package!
The smoothies were especially delectable and the perfect snack on the way to the park or wherever you may be headed!
Now, I am not sure if this method of feeding is approved by Ella's Kitchen but I immediately saw the benefits of it for older kids...namely:
- Catherine isn't huge on all veggies right now but she loves to eat anything out of these packages so that means more veg for her!
- We've recently been on many road trips. We took Ella's Kitchen products with us and it was the easiest method of feeding possible--no clean up, happy baby!
Ella's Kitchen is a new-to-the-US, all organic baby food product that is a healthy and fun way to feed your kiddos!
Verdict:
Hands down this is my new favorite baby food. I like it better than ALL the other baby food products you find on shelves everywhere. Yes, better than ALL the ones you are thinking of. It may be a bit more expensive than other organic foods but the convenience for me and excitement my daughter gets out of consuming these are worth it!
Special:
Now through the end of this month (October 31), Ella's Kitchen products are on sale 2 for $3 for Stage 1 and 2 foods and 2 for $2 for the Smoothies! Check out the products page

I think the way you fed it to her looks like so much more fun for a child her age. Much more independence!

My son's would of loved this. Especially my oldest who cut teeth so very late. I thought he'd be eating baby food until he was a grown man. LOL

I think they look like a great product, easy to store, travel, dispose of, and for a child to feed themselves with - as Catherine proved. :-)
Thanks for a great review, loved the photos.

We tried the only two flavors they have at BabiesRUs and my ten month old son LOVED it. And he feeds himself, sucking on, not even squeezing the package. He loves to do it himself...
THE PROBLEM: Impossible to get in America except for two flavors of food and all smoothie flavors. There are so many more on the website, but you can only order it overseas and it's 57 euro for shipping for a 13 dollar order!!!
WE NEED MORE IN THE US!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!
