I love homemade items, too. My ex-mother-in-law crocheted each of my babies (I was still married at the time) an outfit for them to go home from the hospital in, which consisted of a sweater, hat, and booties. They were beautiful, I only wish I still had them. (Their father - aka sperm donor - still has them, he wouldn't let me keep them when I left him) as they would be wonderful to pass on to my kids when they get married.
