Ok, Halloween is right around the corner. Do you have your costumes lined up? It can be so expensive and time consuming, but iVillage has some great videos that give you DIY costumes that cost $10 or less! I watched all three videos and was amazed at just how simple they were!

My son was a pumpkin one year, we did it the same way they did the grapes, only with orange balloons :)

We also made a robot for my third child when he was 4 or 5, used a cardboard box, silver spray paint and plastic milk jug lids for knobs. It was really fun.

That same year my youngest was a highway. I dressed in him in black and used yellow electrical tape to create road lines, then I sewed little cheapy play cards all along the road. It was cute!

My daughter and her friend were hippies, that's always inexpensive. We hit the thrift store and found some rose colored sunglasses, a tie dye shirt and long earrings. We made a flower head band and found an old jean vest that I painted a peace sign on the back.

I could go on and on, my kids are getting older now and three of them don't even trick or treat anymore, so we've been through a lot of costume ideas! ;)

How cute! I need to get my butt on the ball and figured out what the boys are going to be this year. We have a ton of costumes already, but they are outgrowing them, and they like to play in them, so half are probably ripped. I really wish I had the patience to sit down and make one. I have so much patience with other things, but I'm just not that crafty when it comes to sewing.

I'm like Momma Such... no talent for sewing, so I've never made a Halloween costume. I wish I could think of these great ideas... I LOVE the one with the baby taking a bath, it is SO cute!
Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see Graham on Halloween in his costume... he's going as Thomas, right?
