Holiday Memories and Extra Entries to Start the Party!
Piera and I are so excited to start the Here Comes Santa Claus Blog Party today! We also want to thank you for taking the time to participate with us as these weeks go by. We are ready to share with you new gift ideas to get your holiday shopping started! Of course, more than anything, we realize that Christmas is not about the gifts, but about the memories, family, and most important to me, the gift of God's son.
In honor of the spirit of Christmas memories Piera and I are going to share one of our favorite Christmas memories and are offering YOU extra entries on all giveaways during the blog party for blogging about YOUR favorite Christmas memories!

One of my favorite memories is of the night before Christmas. It was always such a magical time and I felt so giddy that I couldn't sleep. I have a brother who is 4 years older than me and he would always let me camp out in his room on the night before Christmas. In the morning we would both wake up super early and run to the tree to check out what Santa brought. Then we would immediately run to our mom and dad's room to wake them up. This is just one of the memories that I hope Graham will have as well. I can't wait for him to feel the excitement of the night before Christmas!

My favorite Christmas memory is when I was 8 I wanted a bike so badly and when I got up Christmas morning I ran to see Santa did not bring my bike. I was still happy and we opened up all of our other gifts. Right at the end or neighbor knocked on the door and said to my Dad hey I think Santa left something in my garage that is not for us I think it was suppose to come to your house. i ran outside and there was my beautiful brand new red bike. It was a great day!!

My favorite Christmas memory is on Christmas Eve the whole family would get together and bake and frost a cake for Jesus. Then on Christmas we'd put three candles on top to represent the trinity. We'd sing Happy Birthday to Jesus.
Then together we'd blow out the candles. Then after Dad would say "We are not blowing out the light of the world, we are taking him into our hearts."

I dont have a blog but will still share my moment. My favorite Christmas memory is getting ready for church Christmas Day and my Dad dancing in the dining room with me. I had a new doll in my arm, while trying to hold my dad's hands and was standing on his feet while he sang some old BLUE EYES song. (He was an amazing singer). I was about 5. My dad is gone now, but I always remember his dress-up clothes and fancy shiny shoes I stood on to dance. He was a farmer so I didnt see him dressed up so very often. I felt like a princess dancing with my daddy prince!
