Oxfam America Unwrapped. Give the Gift that helps others.
Sometimes it can be easy to forget the true meaning of Christmas with all of the hustle and bustle and commercialism that happens. It is true that we seem to just jump right from Halloween to Christmas and forget about Thanksgiving. Well, Oxfam America Unwrapped needs your help and can be a great way to give back and give thanks for what we do have.By using Oxfam America Unwrapped you can give a gift to a child or community in need as well as give a thoughtful gift to a loved one. This goes way beyond the socks and underwear in the stocking! For instance, for $12 you could give 20 pounds of soap to a community in need. A community who needs help to stop the spread of diseases and sickness. You simply pick the gift and Oxfam America Unwrapped will create a card with the image of what you picked. You can personalize the card online and have it sent directly to your loved one or have it sent to yourself in order to write your own message so that you can hand deliver your card. You will receive a receipt and all gifts are tax deductible.
Oxfam will fund what is needed most so you can be sure that any gift you choose is going to be very useful to some one's life.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Oxfam America Unwrapped and received a credit for a gift on the Oxfam site.

Each year, our family chooses one domestic and one international organization to support at the holidays. We look at our finances and agree as a family how much we're sending -- and it's an amount that represents a good portion of the money we've put aside for holiday shopping. In the past, we have donated to everything from Habitat to Humanity, to St. Jude's Hospital, to the Heifer Organization... to Oxfam. We research each non-profit and make sure we choose one where the highest % of money goes to people in need. I'm thrilled to see you highlight the work of Oxfam; they're one of the most ethnical non-profits around. :) YAY for helping each out out!

This is a new one for me, thanks for posting. This looks like a fantastic organization and I like the fact that it has the BBB seal of approval.
This looks like one of my new charities for the holidays this year. I appreciate your always being on top of the best things in the world.

This is a wonderful organization thanks for bringing it to light. I like that they will send out a card via email. My sister said no gifts but I'm thinking this maybe worth it to her.
