Songs 'n' Smiles Sillytown. Great Baby Gift Idea that Grows!
I think that the hardest Christmas for us was when we had a 9 month old. What do you buy a 9 month old for Christmas? We didn't want just more "stuff" to fill up our house for the sake of buying gifts and we most certainly did not want gifts that he was going to out grow in a few months.A great idea that solves several problems in one gift is the Songs 'n' Smiles Sillytown by Fisher-Price. There are so many features to this toy that will entertain a wide range of ages (6 months-36 months). The roller bar is perfect for the youngest! Once it is in motion, lights and sounds happen all around. The friendly faces inside the Stack 'n' Surprise blocks also peek-a-boo in and out. It is absolutely adorable! As babies grow and develop more fine motor skills, they can put the car on the ramp and watch it speed down or place a block on the tower, press the lever and watch it tumble to the ground.
There are several places to stack the blocks in the Songs 'n' Smiles Sillytown, fostering fine motor skill development. The peek-a-boo blocks are great for establishing object permanence as well. Launching the car on the ramp and the blocks on the tower helps to teach cause and effect. Mom and dad, you will love the fact that all of the loose pieces store nicely in the built-in storage bin. Kids will have fun dropping the friendly blocks into the bin by way of the chute!

Graham is now 2 1/2 and he still likes to play with this toy. He also likes to incorporate some of his other toy cars into the Sillytown. It is fun to watch them become more creative as they get older. It is also nice knowing that there is a versatile product that will teach different developmental milestones as your child is ready! After all, play is how babies learn and it is so much fun watching them do it!
See it in Action:
You can purchase the Songs 'n' Smiles Sillytown from retailers near you for about $54. It comes with 8 peek-and-pop action blocks and over 16 songs and sounds. 3 C batteries are also included (talk about a sanity saver).
This product was provided free of charge by Fisher-Price. These are my honest opinions on the product. I do not post reviews on products I can not stand behind. Please see my Terms of Use for more info.
