No Throw! Sanity Saver!

No Throw! Sanity Saver!

It seems like when little ones are starting to get the hang of this world we live in, they start wanting to play games! One of their favorite games to play is often the "throw game" where they pitch anything and everything they can get their hand on into the floor so that you can pick it up and they can do it all over again! As funny as it may be at first, it soon starts to become old FAST! It really starts to become a problem when you are traveling and can not reach behind you every second!

No Throw is the solution to this problem. Invented by twin sister duo, the No Throw is a bottle tether and true sanity saver! The No Throw works by attaching the Velcro straps tightly around your child's sippy cup or bottle. You then thread the seat belt or seat strap through the leash style loop on the other end before buckling in your baby. Now when your baby throws his cup it will still be a cup and not a shattered piece of trash!

Even better, your child can then pull his cup back up to himself using the ribbon so that you aren't contorting your body while driving to reach it! No Throw is also a great idea for shopping trips. You know, the trips when you get back to the car and there is just as much stuff missing as the stuff you bought? I can remember back tracking through the mall for many a sippy cup, snack cup or toy that was tossed.

See it in Action:

No Throw comes in several different cute patterns and color and retails for $5 a piece! You can purchase them at your local Walgreens, online, or by phone. If you order 6 or less there is FREE Shipping. When you order 7 or more you are only charged $1 shipping!

Versatile Infant Positioner that Works! Snuggin Go

Versatile Infant Positioner that Works! Snuggin Go

I remember vividly the day when my husband and I decided to get out of the house with our 4 week old little Graham. We had no idea what to do so we just went for a drive. Of course, we live in the country and the roads are curvy! Graham had fallen asleep when I decided I should glance back at him. I will never forget looking back into the mirror and seeing his poor little head going all over the place! My husband literally slowed down to about 20 mph until we made it to a straight road. When I got home I took two receiving blankets and put them on either side of his head rest in the car seat. This worked ok, but his head still flopped forward. I wish I had been introduced to the Snuggin Go back then!

I am so excited to tell you about the Snuggin Go! Here is a device that should be on every single baby registry because it is worth it! Not only does this infant positioner work in your car, but it can also be used in your stroller, high chair, or swing!

Here is what we LOVE about the Sunggin Go:
  • Versatility. Use this in your stroller, high chair, car seat, swing, and more!
  • Ease of Use. We had this installed in about 2 minutes flat!
  • Memory Foam. Displaces with just 4 lbs of pressure.
  • Breathe Easy. Baby is in a better position to breathe!
  • Adjustable. Slide and adjust as needed.
  • Washable. The cover is removable.
  • Money Saver. Extend the life of products you would not have previously been able to use early on (strollers and high chairs).
  • Variety. There are several colors to choose from.
  • Mom Invented!
Be on the lookout for a brand new product from Snuggin Go coming out to fit toddlers! I am so excited about finally having a solution to Graham's slumping head during long car trips!

The Snuggin Go is priced at about $44.95 and comes in 10 different patterns and colors!

This giveaway has ended! Congratulations to Courtney!

Coffee Bean Direct

Coffee Bean Direct

Any coffee lovers in the house? You caught me! I must say that coffee has slowly but surely become one of those special treats that I enjoy about once a week. Because it is close to the end of the school season I treat myself more regularly! Now I have found an online shop where you can have your favorite coffee or tea delivered straight to your home!

Coffee Bean Direct is a gourmet coffee roaster in New Jersey that takes out the middle man. They offer coffee and tea at wholesale prices. Who wants to pay $6 for a latte? Did you know that a cup of coffee only costs about $.06 to make? Any way to save a little here and there is a plus in my book! Coffee Bean Direct also roasts and packs their products immediately prior to shipment so that you are guaranteed to have fresh coffee or tea when it arrives!

I had the opportunity to sample the Jamaican Blue Mountain Style Organic blend. I am definitely a lover of the Jamaican style coffee. I was introduced to it by a local coffee shop. I must say that the Jamaican Blue Mountain Style Organic tasted just like I was getting it straight from my favorite coffee shop! Coffee Bean Direct offers more than 70 varieties of coffee and several different teas. They also offer some wonderful gift ideas!

I think this is a great value if you are an avid coffee drinker. You can have your own cup of gourmet coffee just like your favorite shop for a fraction of the price when you break it down. The coffee comes in either 1lb, 5lb or 25lb bags with your choice of ground or whole bean. The teas are available in 2lb foil bags or 5oz foil pouches.

Win a Large Combo Gift Basket that Includes ($99.95 Value):
  • Three 5oz Bags of Loose Leaf Tea
  • Three 1lb Bags of Fresh Ground Coffee
  • One 12oz Package of Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans
  • One Package of Chocolate Wafers
  • One Box of Cookies
  • One Package of Tea Biscuits
  • One 1.75oz Jar of Pure Honey
  • Two Coffee Bean Direct Ceramic Mugs
  • One Coffee Bean Direct T-Shirt
  • One Box of T-Sacs
  • Six Assorted Biscotti
This giveaway has ended! Congratulations to Jill (jsc124).

Sue Berk Designs: Unique Baby Gifts

Sue Berk Designs: Unique Baby Gifts

Sue Berk Designs was born out of a mom's desire to get away from the corporate world. Sue began making her beautiful ceramic crosses and other items and selling them in upscale neighborhoods in Dallas. You can now find Sue Berk Designs in over 900 boutique stores across the United States.

Sue offers ceramic crosses as well as embroidered baby blankets that are super soft! Her crosses come in several different styles, sizes and sayings. The blankets are available in soft pink or blue with 4 different options of scripture embroidery. We had the opportunity to sample the "Wonderfully Made" blanket in pink and the pink "Wonderfully Made" cross with hand painted flowers. Both were absolutely beautiful and perfect for a baby shower gift as well as a christening.

I love how all of her items offer such beautiful messages and styles. The blanket is made from minky dot and satin fabrics and becomes even softer after you wash it. The blanket measures 28 x 33 inches and is tied up with a lovely little bow for gift giving! The cross is perfect for hanging with its matching organza ribbon and is full of beautiful detail.

What a wonderful way to give a little something special to that important person and baby in your life. You are sure to be giving a gift that will be remembered and cherished.

This giveaway has ended. Congratulations to TrixPixel!

Aunt LaLa's Log: A Stylish and Handy Baby Log

Aunt LaLa's Log: A Stylish and Handy Baby Log

Before I had Graham I remember thinking to myself, what is all the hype behind people documenting every single time the baby eats, sleeps, or dirties a diaper? Was it really going to be that important for me to keep track of these things? This was coming from a person who had not yet been a mother and I soon found the reason behind all of this tracking! It was important for nursing and to see how well my baby was thriving.

During the first 3 months it is hard to establish a routine and if you are breastfeeding it can become a little tricky. I did pretty well to keep all of the information stored in my mind, but there would be times when sleep deprivation got the best of me and it would have been nice to have it written down. Every time we went to the doctor I was asked how many times he nursed per day and how long, how many dirty diapers and wet diapers he had per day and how well he was sleeping. How nice it would have been to just whip out this cute little notebook!

Aunt LaLa's Log was developed by a mom who needed a more organized way to keep track of all of these things. When she was tired of writing things down on the backs of papers, she and her sister developed Aunt LaLa's Log and the rest is history!

This adorable baby log can be found in several different styles and colors to suit your taste. You can shop by "boy" or "girl" themed journals. There are 90 days worth of charts that allow you to make notes of feedings, diapers, naps and anything else you think is important. There is even a section for keeping up with sicknesses and some general information. Aunt LaLa's Log also comes in a layout for Twins! I personally love the way the charts are laid out. They are done in such a no non-sense way! There is plenty of room for filling in or checking and it even provides a place to check to keep track of what side you nursed on! You can tell that the creators of this practical baby log have been there!

Aunt LaLa's Log would be perfect for the baby who has to be in child care. Even if it is a family member who is watching your child, you are going to need to know what went on during the day. This would be a simple way for your child care provider to keep things organized. Aunt LaLa's Journal is sized so that it will fit easily into most diaper bags or purses.

Aunt LaLa's Log retails for about $29.95 for the standard and $49.95 for Twins.

We Remember This Memorial Day

We Remember This Memorial Day

Thank you. If you are a soldier or a veteran, thank you. There are honestly not enough words to say to truly express how grateful I am for every person who has ever served our country and I know that "thank you" is not nearly enough. Today is the day we honor those who have served our country and gave their life. I thought today would be a great day to tell you the story of one of my grandfathers. Both grandfathers served in the military (WWII) and my own father was in the Reserves.

My grandfather left for the war just shortly after he and my grandmother married. At some point during his service he was separated from the rest of his troop. I believe that most of them were killed. He made his way to a local barn and milked a cow for several days until he was located. His story turned out for the good, but I know that back then and even today there are families who are hurting.

If you never do it, today of all days, please stop and say a prayer for our troops and remember the lives that were lost so that we could be free! Check out this website where you can send a free email message to a soldier!

WildFlower Studio: Original Art, Photography and Gifts

WildFlower Studio: Original Art, Photography and Gifts

I so admire when people know how to take a wonderful talent and put it to good use! Michelle (Shell) Dransart is the owner and artist behind WildFlower Studio. She grew up in the Ojai Valley of Southern California where the inspiration for some of her art work comes from. In January of 2007 Shell opened WildFlower Studio and begin selling her original pieces. You can now find a wide array of unique selections including: eco-friendly tote bags, cards, t-Shirts, onesies, invitations, prints, and much more!

I enjoy the care free feel to her art that seems to take you to a place of relaxation. Perhaps this is Shell's love of yoga shining through. The Caribbean Dream Tote we were sent has such vivid colors and a great light weight, but sturdy feel. Her beautiful totes come in a variety of her original artwork and retail for $10.

If you are looking for a unique baby shower or birthday gift, her T-shirts and onesies are sure to impress. WildFlower Studio also has the Sew Sweet Shop where you can buy adorable onesie ad burp cloth sets that have been customized by Michelle and are package together in a beautiful display. The beautiful photography prints are an excellent way to bring life to a dull wall or office space and would make excellent house warming or graduation gifts.

Every t-shirt, magnet, onesie and print is hand-signed by Michelle. If you happen to be looking for something a little more specific, Michelle would be happy to work with you to design what you are looking for. Another thing I love about WildFlower Studio is the price tag! You can purchase handmade boutique items for prices that won't break the bank!

Baby Proofing and Child Safety

Baby Proofing and Child Safety

Everyone told me, but I honestly never imagined how being a parent of a toddler boy was going to mean a ton of bumps, bruises, cuts and burns! We had our first incident with child safety when he turned one. It was one of those moments when you can see it coming but you just can't catch it fast enough! He reached out and touched the flame and wax on his birthday candle leaving a blister.

The next incident occurred about 2 months ago. We have always been very careful to tell Graham that the stove is hot and not to touch it, but I think that he is more of the learn by trial and error type. I happened to be cooking on the stove top and turned to rinse my hands in the sink and he reached up and touched the eye of the stove! I never would have imagined that I would be baby proofing so many things!

Well, now I have found a one stop shop for all things involving baby proofing! KidsSafe is an online shop that offers brands such as Prince Lionheart, Safety 1st, Evenflo, and many more trusted brands. You can find a wide selection of baby gates and cabinet locks to fit most houses set up.

I have not purchased directly from this website, but I do own some of the products that they offer and they are quality products for prices that are extremely competitive. Another great feature of KidSafe is that you can see how other customers rate the items. This can be a great place to price shop as well as see if you are truly getting the best bang for your buck when it comes to child safety.
