Help Give 100,000 Books and Set a World Record

Thursday, September 30, 2010 Posted by Felicia

Have you heard of We Give Books?  It is an online site that has over 150 free digital kids’ books from the Pearson Foundation and Penguin Books that you can read with your family.  The best part, for every book that kids read online, the Pearson Foundation gives a brand new book to children in need!

Next Thursday, October 7th, you can help break a world record.  Jumpstart's Read for the Record Campaign was designed to get as many people as possible reading the same book on the same day.  They are expecting more than 2 million people to participate this year in order to break the world record.

The book being read this year is The Snowy Day.  Tune into the TODAY Show on NBC for the kick off of the event.  You can go ahead and read The Snowy Day online!
