Disney Vacation Fit for a Preschooler!
Taking your kids to Disney is something that most parents dream about. Just seeing their eyes light up when they see their favorite Disney character is worth the trip. I know I have talked about taking Graham when he gets a little older, old enough to enjoy that is. Well, now I don't have to wait, and neither do you, thanks to a book that I was recently introduced to written by Lisa M. Battista called Beyond the Attractions: A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers.
This February, I will have the pleasure of attending a conference at Disney World in Orlando and my husband and son will be coming along for the ride. My husband was trying to figure out what he and Graham will see and do while I am in the conference. Thankfully, I was contacted about reviewing this book. Now we have a guide of what to see and do while at Disney that's tailored for 2-5 year olds.
Beyond the Attractions: A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers starts out with the basics of Disney Orlando discussing lodging on the resort, transportation to and from as well as in and around the resorts. It also talks about the places to eat and the approximate costs for children and adults. The book is laid out according to the different parks and things to do at each park paying careful attention to what your toddler will be most interested in.
A lot of thought has been put into your toddlers Disney experience. Some of the attractions may be shows or rides with dimmed lights and spooky characters that might scare your little one if they are not prepared. I know Graham can get scared easily if he isn't prepared of an upcoming situation. Whether your child is into rides, shows, or personal visits with their favorite Disney character, Disney has it and this book will prepare you for it.
We plan on taking our guide with us for the trip. It is organized so well that we can turn to whatever we need and get an answer! You can purchase Beyond the Attractions: A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers for $15.99 at Amazon.com or at BeyondtheAttractions.com.

Cracker Barrel. Our Restaurant of Choice Lately.
We really don't eat out that often because we are trying to save as much money as possible and have you ever tried to take a 2 year old to dinner? It can be a challenge! When we do find ourselves heading out it is usually to Cracker Barrel, a country style family restaurant. We actually just ate there on Friday for my birthday (thanks mom and dad).
Why Cracker Barrel?
If you have one in town and have been you really don't need me to answer this for you, but if you have one in town and you have never been what are you waiting for? Let me give it to you from a mom's perspective.
First of all, they have just about the best high chairs and booster seats of any restaurant I have been to! Trust me, Graham had such a hard time getting the hang of those low back high chairs when he was really little. The boosters just look like another regular chair which makes your toddler feel more like the rest of the family. Also, the noise level is great for a family restaurant. There are other families so you aren't worried about it being overly proper or quiet in case your child makes a scene (yes.. I worry about this). When it comes down to food I can always save money by ordering a Vegetable Plate (your choice of 4 veggies) and an extra plate for Graham. We can both eat for the price of one and they make vegetables that he likes (the green beans are his favorite). You also have to try the Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake!
I also love Cracker Barrel for the unique items in their gift shop. I have bought several gifts from there before because they are quality. My mother even purchased several boutique style outfits for Graham from Cracker Barrel last summer. They were some of my favorites! You can pick up gift cards for family members, deck your home for any occasion, and purchase toys and clothes for the kids all while you wait for dinner! I think I like the gift shop about as much as my meal! When the weather is nice you can enjoy the rockers on the front porch.
I was not compensated in anyway for this post. The giveaway was provided by Cracker Barrel. These are my honest opinions. I do not post reviews on things I can not stand behind. Please see my Terms of Use for more info.
This giveaway has ended. Congratulations to Terri (Gift Card winner) and Atreau (Gift Basket winner)!

Free Diapers from Pampers! *UPDATE!
Starting January 29th you can sign on to Pampers.com to receive a sample 3 pack of their brand new Swaddlers or Cruisers Dry Max diapers! If your sample pack has a Team USA diaper included, you will win diapers for one year!
Pampers is introducing the new line in conjunction with the Olympics. The brand new Dry Max technology is supposed to offer great absorbency (up to 12 hours of protection) but be about 20% thinner than before. They will be given to the Team USA families traveling to the Olympics with babies in tow. Because they are 20% thinner, they are also taking up less space in the land fills. They say if current Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers users switched to the new Dry Max diapers, they would throw away the weight of 1 billion diapers less every 3 years!
Parents will also have the ability, beginning February 12, to upload a video of their baby crawling from left to right, and randomly selected videos will be compiled into a Pampers Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max “Baby Relay” commercial which will air during closing day of the Olympic Winter Games, giving babies a chance to showcase their own playful ability in the same forum as the most elite athletes.
Also, become a fan of Pampers on Facebook and they will donate diapers to a mom in need!
Stay tuned for even more about the Dry Max Technology and make sure to mark you calendars for January 29th to receive your free samples!

Evenflo Comfort Select Single Electric Breast Pump
If you are a nursing mother you know how important it can be to have a bottle on hand every now and then. I know for me I wanted some for church and for when I wanted to go out without the baby on occasion (not that dates happened that often). The problem is that a lot of the breast pumps are pretty pricey if you are looking for an electric or battery operated option. The Evenflo Comfort Select Single Electric Breast Pump can be a great option for occasional use. You can check out my review of the Dual Comfort Select Pump HERE.
Details about the single:
I was not compensated in any way for this post. The giveaway was provided by Evenflo and shipped to the winner by them. These are my honest opinions on the product. I do not post reviews on products I can not stand behind. Please see my Terms of Use for more info.

La Choy. Easy Chinese and a $1 off coupon.
When the end of the week rolls around, that is when I start dreading cooking. By then I am completely wiped out and we usually have church and other places to head to that tie up our evenings. I will be the first to admit that home cooked Chinese food is never on the menu because it just seems so daunting. I also like to try to feed my family with meals that do not originate from a box, but, La Choy Creations has proven to be something I can use when I am in a pinch for time!
We were sent the La Choy Creations Asian Fried Rice to try out thanks to Mom Central. All I had to do was add some chicken that I already had on hand to the meal to complete it. I cooked the chicken, diced it and then added the ingredients from the La Choy Creations box and followed the directions. We had Asian Fried Rice with chicken in about 20 minutes. I am happy to report that Graham gobbled down his entire portion! That means he actually consumed vegetables!
If you aren't into Asian Fried Rice, you can also check out the Teriyaki Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. You could use them as complete meals or add them as a side dish to a meal you already have planned. They do make a lot, so make sure to keep that in mind as well.
So, overall we will probably try these again to have as a back up in the cabinet when I just don't have the energy to spend a lot of time on a meal. You can also save $1 on any La Choy Creations meal with this printable coupon. Check out some tasty recipe ideas at the La Choy website like Chocolate Haystacks and Asian Lettuce Wraps.

Eden Home Organics
There is a newly launched website that specializes in organics that you are going to want to check out. Eden Home offers a wide variety of organic products that are great for the entire family. You can find everything from skin care to bedding and much, much more!
I was sent the Blue Canoe Wrap Style Top and have been wearing it at least once a week because it is so comfy. I love the way it holds its shape and how stretchy the fabric is. Because it is made from natural bamboo and organic cotton it is very breathable and lightweight. I have found that I can dress it up for work or dress it down when I'm just hanging around the house. It retails at Eden Home for $64.
We already purchase organic food whenever possible and I try to be very careful about the products we use on our skin and around our home, but I never would've thought that organic clothing could offer something different. With our budget, organic clothing is some what out of the question, but it is nice to have a few pieces.
When you think about all the processing and chemicals used in our every day bedding, clothing, and even the things we cook with, you can start to see why organic could be a better option. After watching Dr. Oz today I am rethinking our non stick pans! Again, I understand that it isn't always affordable, but adding in a few key pieces can really make a difference. Eden Home even offers some really great tips and facts on choosing organic in their Why Orgainc section of the website.
The Eden Home website is organized well and laid out nicely so that you can find what you are looking for. I love their gift ideas that come ready to present to the recipient. They also sale the MiYm Organic toys for babies that I love so much. Make sure you check out the clearance section while you are there!
This product was provided free of charge by Eden Home. These are my honest opinions on the product. I do not post reviews on products I can not stand behind. Please see my Terms of Use for more info.

Hearts for Kids. Send Valentine's to Kids in Need.
Every year our local Christian radio station, HIS Radio, reaches out to kids who will be in the hospital on Valentine's Day with Hearts for Kids. They don't want them to be left out of the fun day and I think it is a great way to get the entire family involved.
All you need to do is assemble a packet of homemade Valentine's Cards. You could have everyone in your family make one or even have your Sunday School class get involved. The deadline to receive packets is February 8th. Please mail to:

Here are some tips and requested guidelines as you're preparing your packets:
--Wish the child a Happy Valentine's Day
--Make your card cheerful, creative, and uplifting
--Let the child know you are thinking of them
--Tell the child you hope this helps put a smile on their face
Because children will come from a wide variety of social backgrounds and medical histories, the hospitals have also requested the following consideration that you keep in mind:
--No glitter or loose attachments
--No references to "get well" or "hope you feel better"
--No candy
--No toys
--Please don't include your personal contact information
--No religious references or comments
--No sealed envelopes
--Please separate your cards in GENDER SPECIFIC groups (as might apply....boys/girls)
