All Around Chuggington Interactive Railway Set {Video Review}
The All Around Chuggington Set and trains we were sent have been getting a ton of play time from Graham as well as every single kid that comes over to play. It is fun to see the trains you watch on the show interact with each other with familiar phrases. It has actually been getting more play time than his Thomas tracks lately. The trains talk to each other by pressing the buttons on the top. They also interact with Vee and the loading docks on the track. For instance, Vee can recognize that Wilson is at the loading dock and that he is picking up pipe. When the trains head into the roundhouse they snore themselves to sleep.
What we like about it:
- Trains interact and respond to each other with familiar phrases
- Trains interact with the set as well as Vee
- The size of the trains are larger than other die cast trains and are easy for little hands to grip
- The track is pretty easy to put together (if you have the instructions or a picture)
- All Around Chuggington can be expanded with various add ons
- The tracks are holding up well, but Graham becomes frustrated easily when the upper part starts to fall off the posts. I found it hard to make it stay properly (my husband has no trouble with it though).
- Connecting the trains and cars take a little bit of practice for little hands to master. Graham is now great at it (he is 3).
- The top portion of the round train switcher can sometimes come off, but is put back easily.
- Frostini sometimes gets a little stuck saying, "Ice Cream, Ice Cream..."
- Save your instructions because you will need them or a picture in order to set the track back up.
See it in Action:
The trains cost about $13.99 a piece and the sets run about $24.99 to $39.99. Graham's favorite, Action Chugger, even has wings that can be manually lifted out or put back down. Overall, I would highly recommend this set if you have a Chuggington fan. As an adult, I even find it fun to watch them all interact with each other! These sets have already started making appearances on store shelves. To find out more about where to buy them head to Chuggington.com or LearningCurve.com.
