Wubbzy Goes to School DVD and Book {Giveaway}
Wubbzy is back and he is ready for school! There is a brand new DVD featuring 6 episodes that all tie into heading to school. Graham loves to watch Wubbzy (on DVD because we got rid of cable) and this has been a hit because he started back to preschool himself.
If you have a child who is about to start school or preschool for the first time, this might be a nice treat for them. Sometimes I think kids learn better from something they already know and trust as opposed to us grown ups telling them all about it! Don't get me wrong, parents should be the first people encouraging and helping kids work through back to school fears, but sometimes it is good to have a reinforcement they can relate to. It is fun to watch Wubbzy work through common school fears and make new friends.
Wubbzy Goes to School retails for about $16.99 and is available in retail stores and online. You can watch the trailer at the Wow! Wow! Wubbzy website as well as play fun games and activities.
This DVD Screener was provided free of charge. These are my honest opinions on the product. I do not post reviews on products I can not stand behind. Please see my Terms of Use for more info.

LIFE Movie for Father's Day!
Who has not heard of the LIFE movie yet? This beautiful movie is definitely a collector's item and would make an excellent addition to any Father's Day gift ideas.
We had the opportunity to check out the new version that is narrated by Oprah Winfrey. I know that several people have given this particular version bad reviews because of the fact that her narration is different from David Attenborough, but I found the movie fascinating as well as Graham and my husband! There is also an option to have music only instead of the narration. LIFE was released on Blu-ray as well as DVD on June 1st. You can check out the movie before you buy it every Sunday night on Animal Planet now through July 4th. The video is vivid and you will most definitely learn something. Think you have seen it all? LIFE features 130 stories and 54 of them have never been filmed before! It is amazing to see life and the things that are going on around us that we are often times so unaware of.
You can purchase this 4 disc movie for about $59.98 (DVD) or $69.99 (Blu-ray). It has it's very own hardcover book that holds your discs and makes it gorgeous for storing. I would highly recommend this series for any special occasion, or just for those of you who enjoy exploring the world God created! You will be amazed!
This product was provided free of charge by BBC America. These are my honest opinions on the product. I do not post reviews on products I can not stand behind. Please see my Terms of Use for more info.

Where's Spot? A Childrens Classic on DVD
Some of the most treasured times I had with Graham when he was younger was Mother Goose and Toddler Time at the local library. This is where Graham was first introduced to the Where's Spot? book series. At the end of every story time the librarian would put a smattering of books on the floor for the children to pick and read with their parents. Graham would always go for the Where's Spot? books and enjoyed every minute of them.
Now this beloved childrens classic book series is available on DVD. Where's Spot? 30th Anniversary Edition hit store shelves April 20th of this year. We had the chance to preview the DVD. I popped in the movie on a day when I had both Graham and one of his friends over that is the same age. She also has grown up loving the books. Both Graham and Claire were mesmerized with the movie until the end. I was a little surprised because the movie seems a bit beyond 3 year olds, but I suppose that sweet familiar face is hard to resist!
Spot's voice is none other than Jonathan Taylor Thomas from Home Improvement and The Lion King. Each episode also has its very own special song that will have your little one tapping their toes. The DVD features three bonus episodes, a reading of Where's Spot with author Eric Hill, and two interactive games. You can purchase Where's Spot? 30th Anniversary Edition for about $9.98 at Amazon or $7.98 from the BBC America Shop. This would be a perfect birthday gift idea under $10!
This product was provided free of charge. These are my honest opinions on the product. I do not post reviews on products I can not stand behind. Please see my Terms of Use for more info.

- Asthma rates among 4- and 5-year-old children fell by 25% for every extra 343 trees per square kilometer
- Students perform better in tests when surrounded by trees and grass
- Neighborhoods with more trees experience less crime
- Cleaner air: Trees help trap and remove tiny particles of soot and dust, which otherwise damage human lungs, and tree root networks filter contaminants in soils producing clean water. Four million trees would save $20 million in annual air pollution cleanup
- Energy saver: The cooling effects of trees can save millions of energy dollars! Three to four shade trees located strategically around a house can cut summer cooling costs by 30-50%!
- Healthier children: Performing activities in green settings can reduce children’s Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder symptoms.

Pistachio: The Little Boy That Woodn't Veggie Tales DVD {Last Minute Easter Idea}
I always like to fill Graham's Easter basket with a video because they are generally inexpensive and small enough to fit. We recently had the opportunity to review the latest DVD by Veggie Tales. Pistachio: The Little Boy That Woodn't is Veggie Tales take on the classic tale of Pinocchio.
We have never been disappointed by a Veggie Tales movie and it seems like they just keep on getting better. This is a fabulous movie for teaching children about wisdom. Wisdom is a tough concept to teach to the very young, but Pistachio makes it fun for kids. It also reminds children of the importance of obeying their parents. When Graham watches he is completely engrossed and even talks about the movie after we are finished viewing it. To me, this is a sign of a great family movie. Keeping your family engaged and talking is key.
Of course Pistachio does not leave out a Silly Song! You all will enjoy "Where Have All the Staplers Gone". Also, the opening scene has been freshened up with a more up to date computer (I was wondering when they were going to get around to that). You can purchase Pistachio: The Little Boy That Woodn't online or in a store near you for about $14.99.

New Charlie and Lola DVD is a Hit!
There is a new favorite in our house lately and I have to be honest and tell you that I am a fan as well. Have you seen Charlie and Lola yet? It is from the BBC and is based on the popular Charlie and Lola books by Lauren Child.
The new DVD, Charlie and Lola Volume 10: I Can't Stop Hiccuping, is an hour and a half long and features 9 episodes. Lola and her brother Charlie are always trying to solve different problems. I even looked at my husband mid way through the show and said, "I hope our two children get along this well." The first episode is a cute one in which Lola gets the hiccups as she and her friend Lotta are practicing their song for the school concert. This is a cute episode that kept Graham laughing as Lola tries many different tactics in order to end her hiccups. Her brother Charlie is right there with her trying to help her solve the problem as well. If you have read any of the Charlie and Lola books you are going to want to check out this DVD as well. Graham asks us to watch it over and over again. Make sure you have a glass of strawberry milk handy!
The Charlie and Lola Volume 10: I Can't Stop Hiccuping DVD went on sale March 9th and can be purchased at Amazon.com for about $11.99.
This product was provided free of charge by BBC. These are my honest opinions on the product. I do not post reviews on products I can not stand behind. Please see my Terms of Use for more info.

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! "Go for Gold" DVD
I haven't found a preschooler yet who isn't a fan of Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Graham was an instant fan from the moment he first watched an episode. Now, in honor of the Olympics, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! has come out with a brand new 82 minute DVD called "Go for Gold". The new episode started airing February 16th.
If you have a huge Wubbzy fan you might want to pick up the DVD that includes seven episodes revolving around athletics and being a good sport. Included in the episodes is Michelle Kwan and Tiki Barber. You and your kids will enjoy their Wuzzerific cartoon counterparts! There are also coloring and activity pages as well as music videos included on the DVD.
My favorite episode is the first one which features Michelle Kwanzzleberry (Michelle Kwan). All of Wuzzleburg is preparing for the Wuzzleburg Wacky Dash. Michelle reminds the contestants to prepare, practice, and most importantly...have fun! It seems no one but Daizy wants to heed the advice as new inventions are made to try and prevent practicing and preparing. Daizy takes it all in stride, studies the race route, does some jump roping, and decides to have fun! Who do you think wins in the end?
All of the episodes have the same wonderful messages you would expect from Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! that will keep your kids entertained. Graham would watch it all day long if I let him. "Go for Gold" retails for about $16.98. Also, be on the look out for an 8X8 paperback book from Scholastic.
A review copy of this DVD was provided free of charge by Anchor Bay Entertainment. These are my honest opinions on the product. I do not post reviews on products I can not stand behind. Please see my Terms of Use for more info.

Munchkin Math DVDs. Make sure they are ready for school! {Giveaway via Mom Central}
I really did love school when I was little. I usually did pretty well in most areas, but I often struggled with math! I can remember when I hit about 5th grade starting to dread math in school. I would come home from school and cry as my dad would try to explain math to me. Telling time, division, fractions, it was all a mystery to me!

I am so glad that I am a mother in the day and age we are in (well, sometimes I am). There are so many resources available to boost our kids that just weren't around when we were growing up. If you are looking for a boost when it comes to math you should check out Munchkin Math. These fun and educational DVDs were created by a mother and can serve ages 2-9. Each DVD focuses on a different concept such as: Telling Time, Shapes, and Counting Money.

We were sent the Telling Time DVD by Munchkin Math to review with Graham. At first I thought that this was really going to be over his head, but I was pleasantly surprised. This DVD features 2 birds (Cuckoo and Stan), a clock wizard, kids, and Wendy (video leader). Cuckoo must learn to tell time before he can live in a Cuckoo Clock. Wendy leads the birds and children in different fun songs and rhymes that help reinforce memory skills. I know that most children learn better when they can associate things in song or rhyme. This is definitely true for Graham. I even learned a thing or two about teaching kids how to tell time!

It was fun watching Graham stand up and repeat after Wendy and even sing some of the songs. Even though I know he doesn't completely get it at age 2, at least some of the basic skills are being heard which will hopefully make it easier for him to learn as he grows older. Also, I think incorporating music and math is a fantastic idea! I know of several people who struggle with math that have more of a creative mind which usually responds well to music. And music is very mathematical in nature which makes this a great combination.
You can purchase all 3 titles from MunchkinMath.com for about $19.99 a piece.
From now until December 16th anyone who posts on twitter using the hashtag #MunchkinMath will be entered to win one of three Munchkin Math DVD sets, which includes all three Munchkin Math titles. For example, you could tweet:
Give you child a head start in math with Munchkin Math DVDs. RT to enter to win 1 of 3 prize packs! #MunchkinMath
Or
Giveaway: Kids get a head start in math with Munchkin Math's Shapes, Telling Time, and Counting Money DVDs. RT to enter! #MunchkinMath
I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Munchkin Math and received a sample DVD to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Dora the Explorer and WORDGIRL Air for Christmas
I love it when some of Graham's favorite television shows come out with full length DVDs! Dora the Explorer has a brand new movie for Christmas called Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure. It is also airing on Nick Jr this week until 12/11 at 9am and 1pm.We have been watching the movie around here lately because Graham is very much interested in all things "Christmas." If you have a Dora fan in your house this movie is a must for the Christmas season. Swiper has swiped on Christmas for the last time! Dora and Swiper go on an adventure through the past, present, and future to try and get Swiper off the naughty list. Will Swiper be able to learn the spirit of Christmas and end his habit? Santa Claus makes an appearance to let Swiper know what he must do in order to be taken off the naughty list for Christmas.
Graham had a blast watching this with us. We added it in with all the other Christmas movies we have been watching lately. This would be a great Christmas Eve movie to watch!

Also airing is WordGirl: Oh, Holiday Cheese! The Botsfords decided to have a little holiday gathering by throwing a cheese party. There are a lot of fun sing-a-longs and cheese until Dr. Two Brains decides to use his cheese swiping ray to spoil the fun! Word Girl goes on a mission to save the cheese party as well as Dr. Two Brains Christmas spirit!
Check your local listings for air dates and times for both of these shows and get into the Christmas spirit! You can also pick up a copy of Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure at local retailers for about $12.99.

This movie was provided free of charge. These are my honest opinions on the product. I do not post reviews on products I can not stand behind. Please see my Terms of Use for more info.

Wiggle On Over and Sing!

Although I remember seeing the Wiggles around for quite some time, Graham just had his first experience with the 4 entertaining fellows!
For those of you out there who are fortunate enough to have Sprout Television, you will be able to watch the Wiggles at home on your television! If for some reason you do not have Sprout Television, you can catch episodes from different shows at Sprout Online 24/7.
We were sent the Sing a Song of Wiggles DVD to check out! Not only did Graham like it, but I liked it! If you aren't familiar with the Wiggles they are a group of 4 guys along with some fun friends who entertain and educate by using catchy and silly songs. The Sing a Song of Wiggles DVD takes some familiar nursery rhymes and cranks them up a notch Wiggle style! Graham's favorite is Humpty Dumpty. I actually catch him singing this version of Humpt
y Dumpty while he is playing sometimes. You will reminisce with songs like: Sing a Song of Sixpence, Over in the Meadow, Old MacDonald, Baa Baa Black Sheep and more! There are actually 35 songs total to choose from. The Wiggles still dress up in their far out there costumes that really attracts your preschoolers attention. I love how the Wiggles seem to tap into the imagination of your child and you will have fun singing right along with them.Right now you can enter the Wiggles Sweepstakes to win a Live Show to the Wiggles! You can also enter the Wigglemania photo contest on Facebook for a chance to win a Wii. You can even find the Wiggles on Sprout Online at the Wiggly Waffle to listen to today's day of the week song, watch music videos, play games, and more! I honestly get sucked into the Sprout website because there are so many different fun things for your preschooler.
This post was written as part of a program for Family Review Network and Sprout Television, who provided the DVD for review.

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Wubb Idol DVD
I think whoever created Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! had Graham in mind. The kid is a total nut over the show! We own the last full length DVD they came out with called Pirate Treasure and I am surprised that poor DVD is still working. It should literally be worn out by now. Well, never fear, there's a new Wubbzy DVD! Wubb Idol features Beyonce and is jammed full of Wubberific fun!The Wubb Girlz are visiting Wuzzleburg for the talent show. Walden, Widget, and Daizy are excited to see them and everyone in the town hopes to win the contest. The Wubb Girlz host the Wuzzleburg Idol and Wubbzy learns the importance of being himself.
I never have a problem endorsing Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! because I love the principles that the show teaches to preschoolers. It not only captures Graham's attention, but he walks away remembering the lessons he learned. Sure, he is only 2 and 1/2, but he can tell me what happens in the shows and the different feelings behind what he sees. The song featured by Beyonce Knowles, Sing A Song, is extremely catchy!

Check out Sing A Song with Beyonce Knowles:
The October issue of Parents magazine actually features a $2 off coupon for the DVD. You can purchase it from Target for $16.98. You can also download a free Wubb Idol Coloring Sheet. Head over to Nick Jr.com to play some fun Wubbzy games!

My Wonder Kids. Wonderful Christian Themed Gifts for Kids!

We were sent the Toddler Gift Pack. Not only was it jam packed with fun products, but it also retails for an extremely reasonable price! For $21.99 you can receive 1 padded book and 6 CDs. So basically for the cost of one CD you receive an entire gift pack. That is definitely the best bang for your buck!
Graham has been loving all of the wonderful music that was included in the package. Of course, Graham is a music lover, but there are sure to be songs that were favorites of yours as a child that will become a favorite of your kids. I enjoy being able to sing along with Graham and teach him some of the songs that I knew growing up. One of our favorites is Noah's Arky Arky. There are even songs that enforce messages like manners and nursery rhymes.
The padded Little Songs for Little Souls book is absolutely precious. It is like a mini devotional for toddlers that has illustrations and words that go along with the songs. We were also sent the World's Greatest Children's Stories & Songs DVD that features stories like Pinocchio. Each story has a great lesson and is like a DVD picture book. The images are still and a sweet voice narrates. Graham has enjoyed watching along. He will often ask for the Pinocchio movie over some of his other favorites.
If you are looking for Christmas songs for your kids, My Wonder Kids has you covered as well! You can check out the Top 100 Christmas Songs for Kids or the Kids Sing Christmas. Right now you can purchase the Awesome Story of Christmas DVD for only $8.99!

VeggieTales: Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Noah's Umbrella
I have been a fan of Veggie TalesThe latest release from Big Idea is Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Noah's Umbrella
news is there is a villain who is trying to take the umbrella for himself. Through several twists and turns, and of course one silly song, Larry finds out that doing the right thing doesn't always necessarily feel cool, but always is the best in the end.It is fun to see Graham become excited about watching the Veggie Tale movies now. He is actually at the age where he asks for what he would like to see and it always warms my heart when he asks for Veggie Tales. I can honestly say that it is about the only G rated movie we have seen that doesn't have some sort of suggestiveness in it. It is nice to know that there is still a company out there that has our children's best interest in mind. Of course, I am partial, because of the fact that these movies are also teaching my son about the most important thing in life: a relationship with God.
Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Noah's Umbrella
This post was written for Family Review Network as part of a program for Big Idea, who supplied the DVD for review. I had the option of choosing this or not (just like all reviews here) and chose to review this video because of how strongly I believe in Veggie Tales.

Hip Hop Baby DVD Series
With childhood obesity on the rise, it is important that parents choose wisely the videos they decide to purchase for their children because "screen time" is critical. Most pediatricians agree that children should be limited to 2 hours of screen time per day. Hip Hop Baby is a new educational DVD series that incorporates movement, music, and rhymes into learning!Graham immediately responded to the DVD as soon as we put it in. There are kids of all different ages, gender, and races represented which I find extremely valuable. I appreciate when companies pick up on the fact that exposing our kids to differences is important! Hip Hop Baby is extremely upbeat and puts the kids in the spotlight. The music and movement helps kids watching along to get up and move!
The iParenting Media Award Winning Hip Hop Baby is great for kids ages 2-6 and can be purchased through Amazon. There are 4 DVD titles to choose from: "All Your Child's Favorites", "Get Healthy Get Fit", "Things We Do Everyday", and "Rockin' Dance Party". You can even pick up the "Fruit" CD so your child can keep on jammin' when your on the road! DVD's retail for about $14.98 and the CD for about $13.98.
