Health Week: Arnica Oil
Are you looking for a natural treatment for bruises, swelling, aches, and pains? If you have never tried it you should locate some Arnica Oil! Arnica is a plant that grows from the mountain pastures and lowland marshes of Europe and North America.I first found out about the healing properties of Arnica when I obtained a grapefruit sized bruise on my thigh that turned into Mount Everest! I was going to the beach the next week and I wanted it gone! After searching on the Internet I came across several sites talking about the healing properties of Arnica Oil! I went to the local GNC and grabbed some up! My bruise was gone in about 4 days! I have even read that some doctors in France rub this on their hands before surgery to help promote healing!
Here is what really sold me on the Arnica....
I picked up some made locally (organic) for my labor and delivery. A labor/delivery nurse that's a friend of mine said it would help to stretch the perineum to help prevent tearing! Long story short, I had to have an episiotomy because Graham's heart rate was dropping so rapidly (they didn't have time to wait on stretching) and she suggested that I use the Arnica on my pads after the delivery. My incision healed quickly and with little to no pain! I have since recommended this to all pregnant friends! And if you are not pregnant, you can use it for bumps, bruises, aches and pains!
Locating the Arnica Oil is probably the hardest part. GNC was selling the gel form. I would suggest looking into local markets or even asking at your local hospital or doctor's office. I know you can purchase it from the Internet as well.
