Graham absolutely loves Dr. Seuss! Did you know that Dr. Seuss’s birthday is tomorrow? We decided to celebrate here at home with some fun cupcakes. If you are a fan on Facebook, thank you SO much for helping me find the cotton candy! I actually ended up finding it at Dollar General. I looked at Walmart, Ingles, Blockbuster (they had yellow and pink only), and a party supply store. Here are some fun and easy cupcakes so that your family can celebrate as well!
What you will need:
Red Velvet cake mix
Red cupcake sleeves
Cream cheese frosting (or your favorite white frosting)
Blue cotton candy
Super glue, or glue dots
White card stock cut in circles
Black pen or marker
Just prepare your cupcakes like normal and frost. Add the blue cotton candy to the top. Make sure to add a lot because once the cotton candy meets the frosting it will start to melt. The more you add, the fluffier it will stay. Cut your circles out with your “Thing 1” and “Thing 2” messages on them. Use a small dot of super glue or glue dots in order to secure them to the outside of the cupcake wrapper. Regular glue or tape just won’t hold with many cupcake liners.

Bridgette from http://www.theiveyleague.com had a great tip for holding on the Thing 1 and Thing 2 signs. She just used icing! Genius!
